The Festival for the Eno was awesome! I shared the stage with Jon Batson and Dave Turner , two fabulous songwriters. It was a wonderfully musical weekend. Lots of groovy music and even a parade by the Paper Hand Puppet Intervention, which was mesmerizing. Thanks to Eileen for the photos!
I am currently working on two new songs. Neither one is completely finished but it is oh so much fun as they unfold. I wonder which will finish first. One is about disappointment and the other about joy, so am I trying to be a well-balanced Libra or what?
Have you gotten your Slice of Watermelon Sugar yet? It's sweet!
Music is everywhere and there are lots of exciting possibilities on the horizon.
Hot fun in the summertime
Today I had a moment of absolute bliss
strumming the guitar
and swinging in the hammock.
"Summertime and the living is easy," as Bess would say.
I've got some great gigs coming up with NC Songwriters.
I like the heat.
I'm feeling creative.

May the 4th be with you!
I find myself dancing around, humming along with the music in my head, surrendering to the splendor.
Everything is green, green, green.
Hypatia and I released Watermelon Sugar's third CD, “Slice.” This collection of sweet acoustic music is available on CDBaby and ITunes. It is truly a thing of beauty and so incredible to think that although we now live on opposite ends of the earth (she in Hong Kong & me in North Carolina) we can still connect musically. We're planning a brief musical interlude for this summer.
There will be more music from Chocolate Martini Therapy – but not until after congratulatory celebrations for Elizabeth’s nuptial bliss!
I'll be performing with some other members of the North Carolina Songwriters Co-op. What a wonderful group of creative, talented people! It’s so cool to work together.
Green, blue-green, aquamarine.

Music is blooming
Spring at last and music is blooming! I just got back from a skip around the pond with a new song in my head.
I'm still a bit groggy from last night's show at Nosh with Chocolate Martini Therapy. Check out the photos! Elizabeth and I debuted our newest song "Laugh & Cry & Laugh" - what fun! The folks at Nosh are always delightful and the after-party at Six Plates was of course lovely as well. We definitely have enough material for a CD and many of you have been asking, so that is in the works for this summer.
Watermelon Sugar's eagerly anticipated third album "Slice" arrived last week and I must say it is truly a work of art. "Slice" will soon join Watermelon Sugar's other albums, "Sample" and "Something to Savor" on ITunes and CD Baby for your purchasing pleasure. Hypatia and I are looking forward to lots of musical merrimaking when we get together in August.
It will be an honor to perform with the incredibly talented Michael Thompson later this month. He is an amazing musician and always lots of fun.
I've got to get back to this song in my head...
